nice cheap hotel, decent location

Hi all,

I knew I would be picking some brains and today seems to be the day. I am single solo female traveler looking for a hotel that is close to some sights or maybe shopping. I am looking for a nice clean hotel with bathroom ensuite for around 45-65 Euros. I would love one that is locally owned, I tend to meet other travelers easier when this is the case. The owners tend to be so friendly and introduce you to others that might be on their own also.

thanks for all of the help!

There ara many hotels locally owned in sultanahmet, I don't know all of them.Try this one , it is new: hotel evsen, in hoca pasa street, with a lot of restaurants , closed to everywhere , everything you look for.Apricot hotel also ( I read that it is always fully booked).

lol

In your prices, peninsula hotel, in sultanahmet, is quite good : silent, clean, privaye bathroom. Marmara guesthouse is very ok also .

I visited Turkey as a solo female last fall and it was a fantastic trip. You will love it. I stayed at the Erboy for the first few days in Istanbul and while it was clean and the people were nice, it wouldn't be my first choice on a return trip. But the food there was great. I stayed at Oceans 7 on my return to Istanbul at the end of my trip and found the location to be somewhat better for me. It was easier to get to the sites and surrounded by other hotels and restaurants. Easy walking to the Blue Mosque and the Grand Bazaar as well as other sites. I met people at both places. Both of these would fit your budget.Have a wonderful time, I did!

Mr Akdeniz, you should read the rules of TA. Self promotion isn't allowed. Why do you need to do this, and also to send privare messages to say that Apricot Hotel is a fake one ? When I see your behaviour, I think that this must not be a good idea to sleep in best point hotel. here, we trust only the people who don't have any interest in the hotel they speak about?
