Can anyone suggest a 4/5* hotel in central Istanbul with a good outdoor pool area.

Hi joebes,

The large hotels at Taksim all have oudoor pools. Marmara Taksim, Ritz Carlton, Ceylan Intercontinental, Grand Hyatt and Taksim Gonen hotels (rooftop swimming pool - outdoor) have wonderful swimming pools and they are centrally located. If you want a real outdoor swimming pool at the old city(historical peninsula) , then Holiday Inn Istanbul City at Topkapi area and Celal Aga Konagi Hotel at Beyazit area have decent outdoor swimming pools. Check the TA reviews for these hotels.

good luck,

Among the central Istanbul hotels I stayed, Ritz has a tiny windswept pool which is not very pleasant. Conrad had a good pool but Swissotel has a brilliant pool and spa area, open and closed pools, hamams, gym. If you go another 20minutes or so from Taksim, Ciragan Kempinski's pool is amazing, I have been to this pool as day guest many times as in my opinion it is the best with its waterside location.
