I arrive in istanbul a day before eid. What will it be like ?

For me its gonna be my first ever trip to turkey. Will i see lots of people celebrating in the streets? Will the blue mosque be packed to capacity on eid day (what time should i go mosque?) Do they sell special ramdaan/eid food on the streets? What types of food ?

Anything else about eid that you can tell me that happens in istanbul ? Will every tourist attraction be closed for the 3 day holiday? Grand bazaar too ? Cevahir mall ?

es, During the eid (seker bayrami) the public transport will be more crowded than usual because they will be half price. Other than that, nothing unusual. Turkish families usually visit relatives and some historical attractions at this time. Have a look. "tripadvisor.com/ShowTopic-g293974-i368-k4606…".

good luck,
