Cost of Turkish visa for an Australian passport holder

Hi I'm trying to establish my visa requirements on entry into Turkey. I am an Australian passport holder and I understand that I can obtain my visa when I enter Turkey. I am unclear of the cost, prices range from 15 Euro to 45 Euro. Could someone please help answer this question. Do I have to have the correct money in cash when I arrive?

Thanks

The price of a visa for Australian citizens used to be 15Euros or $20USD.

Very recently I believe that these prices were increased to 45Euros or $60USD. I don't know why the price increased, but usually visa charges are reciprocal.

The people who issue visas will accept Euros, USD and I believe UK currency. I would get enough Euros or USD to purchase my visa stamp before arriving in Turkey. It is just going to be much easier with currency that officials

expect.

Charlie, welcome to Turkey.

Like Busy-retired says, the Turkish visa for Australian citizens is 60 USD/person. You can pay it in cash at the visa before you join the passport control line.

No there is no photo requirement. Your passport is sufficient.

Hi there

I'm thinking of heading to turkey soon. Did you have any trouble with your visa upon arrival? Like you and the costs you've read about, I seem to be finding conflicting information about whether I need to apply for a tourist visa before arrival. Any reassurance you could offer would be great!

Thanks

rollsy, welcome to Istanbul.

No need to get a visa in advance if you hold a British passport. You can get a visa on arrival. It will cost 10 GBP. Just have a tenner ready in your passport when you join the visa line first, before the immigration line.

Thanks Enigma,

We hold Australian passports. I believe we still get the visa on arrival it's just more expensive?

It is very easy to get a visa upon your arrival. I did it today. I saw several travelers of various nationalities in line as well. As others have noted, just have either USD or euros in hand.
