Turkey in Ramadan

Dear All....

I am asking about Turkey trip in Ramdan...is it applicable. ..or shops will be closed like any islamic country and no alchols.

also for the hotels....in Islamic countries in general it is not allowed for un married couple to stay in one room together. ..is it the same in Turkey.

Nermo, Turkey is a secular country whose majority of population is Islamic. Everything is open according to normal schedule and alcohol is served in those restaurants that normally serve alcohol. In a secular country, both the fasting and non-fasting population respect each other.

In hotels no one will ask you your marriage licence if you are unmarried.

enjoy Istanbul,
