1st time visitor

Hey Guys,

So well be going to Istanbul on the 20th Of December for 2 weeks or so. We are thinking of staying there for little over a week and then go to a resort for a few days.

There are just so many great hotels and so many things to do that were confused where to stay.

Were looking for a hotel that has something to do within walking distance. Restaurants, bars, shopping, things for kids to do etc. The 3 hotels we are looking at are Hilton Bosphorus, Ritz Carlton and Kempenski however am open to suggestions.

ritzcarlton.com/en/…Default.htm

kempinski.com/en/…

Also any recommendations on resorts? Which ones, which area?

Thanks

Sheharyar A, In December some resorts are open at Antalya/Belek area but the weather will be cool and will definitely be no swim weather except at heated pools. "tripadvisor.com/Hotels-g297962-Antalya_Turki…". However in December, I suggest that you also have a look at Hotel Su, right across from Antalya Aquarium: "tripadvisor.com/Hotel_Review-g297962-d301300…".

If you are interested in bars, shopping, and restaurants, I suggest The Marmara Taksim, right at Taksim square in Istanbul: "tripadvisor.com/Hotel_Review-g293974-d192428…".

good luck,

Hello Enigma 2007. Thank you for your suggestions. Hotel SU looks nice but its too minimalist for us.

Marmara looks nice. Are there any other 5 star hotels in the same location that you would recommend? Since we will be with young kids we are looking for hotels where we can walk around with our kids. Any recommendation would be appreciated.

Thank you

Sheharyar A, Yes you can try Ceylan Intercontinental or Grand Hyatt, both near Taksim square."tripadvisor.com/Hotel_Review-g293974-d294607…", and "tripadvisor.com/Hotel_Review-g293974-d294608…".
