Overnight bus to Canakkale

Hi,

I am traveling to Canakkale from Selcuk on 22nd March.. need an overnight bus.

I read through forums and learnt that Truva Turizm offers something, but the site is in Turkish.. and I can't figure anything !

I also tried the websites of Kamil Koc and Metro, but in vain.

I wanted to know a good comfortable bus for the same ..

Thanks in advance for any help

Hi groovy....,

Most likely there are no direct buses to Canakkale from Selcuk. You might have to go to Izmir (lots of buses) and from Izmir Otogar get a bus to Canakkale. Ulusoy Turizm has a 11.00 PM bus from Izmir to Canakkale, costing 29 TL. "http://www.ulusoy.com.tr/otobus/index.asp".

good luck,

enigma...

Hi,

I realise now that you would of already have taken the journey from cannakle to selcuk, just curious as to how it ended up working out?

I am going there later in the year and was hoping to catch the night bus which I have read about.

It's only 4.5 hours from Canakkale to Izmir on the Ulusoy bus, hardly an overnighter.

Thanks. But if you read the post I was inquiring about getting from Cannakle to Selcuk, which is about 7 something hours and you can get a bus at 11.30pm.

I very much doubt if there are direct buses, I think you'd need to change in Izmir.

P.S. Kamil Koc - http://www.kamilkoc.com.tr/ - have a 01:00 bus arriving Izmir 06:30.

Hey... just a small bit of advice... I booked my ticks in advance and lost out as I paid a full fare.

In Turkey... you can bargain even on the list price of tickets!

Truva costs 45 TRY to Selcuk...

Metro on the other hand costs 20 TRY to Izmir from where it is 10 TRY to Selcuk on Kamil Koc making the trip = 30 TRY.

Use that data... and bargain away.

Also, when a foreigner goes, you have these guys claiming to be from a company who stand outside. NEVER listen to them. Walk straight to the counter if you want to be bargaining.
