a few more questions

I hope someone can answer these:

We will need to get from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem .... should we take a taxi or is there a sherut?

Friday - Saturday in Jerusalem: does everything (including restaurants) close?

day trip from Jerusalem to the Dead Sea: is Friday a good day to do this?

thanks!

The bus has a undercarriage storage compartment. Ask the driver to open it. One should enter the bus and take seats and the other store the luggage and join in.

All Egged intercity buses, not just the 480, as well as other companies (Metropolin, Superbus, Connex-Veolia) have large luggage compartments. As Shoshi says - all you need to do is ask the driver to open the hatch.

And what is good about the 480 is that it is a direct bus with only one quick drop off point on the Jerusalem highway - so you are not sitting there worrying about whether someone has taken your case :)
