Western Wall garb.

I am leaving for Israel tomorrow, and I was wondering if I was allowed to wear a female-kippah to the Western Wall.

Thanks.

There is no definitive answer to your question. For the most part, you will be able to and there will be no problems - however, on some occasions, a "female Kippah" will draw unwanted attention.

How does a "female kippa" differ from a small hat? I can't see that it would be a problem. I have seen women wearing hats - not intended as "female kippot" in a demonstrative sense - that appear indistinguishable from Bukharan-type kippot.

As long as you are not over-demonstrative and don't make a big thing of it, I doubt anyone would care.

Just make sure you aren't overtly demonstrative in your non-demonstrativeness...
