El Al has announced it won't be offering daytime flights to Eilat.
It will continue to offer flights during the hours of darkness (because these continue to use the old flight path without any change).
The first and last flights are operated by Israir Airlines, the ones during the day have been cancelled, anyone booked on them gets a full refund so they can book with Arkia or Israir or travel by bus free. El Al will be doing more test flights before they decide to reinstate their flights.
El Al has reinstated all flights starting tomorrow 13 September. According their official statement the discontinuance of the flights was only to be until 25 September. However, an agreement was made to continue flights as stated. For today (12 September) those with tickets will be transported by bus to/from Eilat.
Note that the cancellation was due to a new regulation put out by the State run Israel Aviation people and not a direct cancellation due to El Al policy.
