Saturday in Tel Aviv

Hi guys. I am planning my trip to Israel in this coming late November. I am planning to stay 7days there but there is a problem here. I am planning to hang around in Tel Aviv and Yafo on my last day after checking out from the hotel. My problem is, will it be difficult to travel around on Saturday in Tel Aviv or Yafo? Or will most attractions sights being closed? And the most important is, is it possible for me to get some kind of traffic to get to the airport if I am taking a 10pm flight on Saturday night? Thanks for helping me.

Welcome to TripAdvisor.

If you search this forum you will see that plenty of places are open in Tel Aviv and Jaffa on Saturdays. Businesses, post offices and most shops are closed, but nearly all restaurants are open, as are many museums. There is no public transport, but sheruts (shared taxis) run on some routes, and taxis are always available. You won't be bored.

The only way to get to the airport on Saturday night, before public transport resumes (and the first train to the airport on a Saturday even in November is too late for you) is by taxi. You'll have no trouble at all finding a taxi to take you.

Welcome. Please ask to keep your luggage at the hotel for the day. (it is common practice). On Saturday you will be able to get around with taxis. Yafo (Jaffa) is a great place to hang around. (I usually take a walk from Tel-Aviv to Yafo along the beach.) Another places to hang around are Tel-Aviv port or Hatachana http://www.hatachana.co.il/Home. Several museums are open such as Erez Israel museum http://www.eretzmuseum.org.il/e/ or Tel Aviv museum of art http://www.tamuseum.org.il/

See this recent thread on Saturday in Tel Aviv tripadvisor.com/ShowTopic-g293984-i3332-k752…

You need a taxi to the airport which is easy to get. Price 120-150 shekels.
