Cab from Arava border crossing to Eilat airport

Approximately how much does it cost for a cab from the Arava border crossing to the airport in Eilat? Also, how much do the cab drivers generally charge for each piece of luggage?

Thanks in advance.

You should ask them to use the meter. A piece of luggage is 5 shekels, and so is the 3rd and 4th person in the same cab. previous posts indicated that they paid 30-40 shekels for the ride. The best is to use shekels. The cab driver might refuse to accept any other currency, he official currency is shekel.

Is that 5 shekels per piece of luggage including carry-on type luggage (such as backpacks etc)?

Thanks.

To be more accurate,

It's 3.80 NIS for each luggage piece - suitcases etc.

Hand luggage/bags etc are "free" (i.e. you don't add over the fare of the taxi)

The cost of luggage (suitcases) in the rest of Israel is 4.40 NIS (the reason is that Eilat is a VAT free zone).
