jerusalam tours

Hi everyone

I and my wife are planning to visit jerusalem in the first weak of December and we planned to visit jerusalem and Bethlehem and other places by a tour company,

I found these people are charging around 100 $ per person per day and I find these too expensive.

Could any one help me on this.

regards

That is very cheap for a day tour including transportation to Bethlehem. You can do a free 3 hour walking tour of the Old City with Sande and and the go by bus on your own to Bethlehem. It will be without a guide but will be very cheap.

If you can't afford a tour, go on your own. Thousands of people do that, without a tour, and manage perfectly well. There are frequent buses to Bethlehem from outside the Damascus Gate of Jerusalem's Old City, and they run every day of the week including Saturday. The fare one way is about 8 shekels.

Try these providers for less expensive tours:

As mentioned above, it will be still cheaper to do this by yourself - you don't NEED a tour to visit any of these places.

It's a normal easy bus ride (half an hour or so from Jerusalem's Damascus Gate). If you take the bus to checkpoint 300/'Rachel's crossing', you will cross the checkpoint on foot. You need your passport and the visa slip itself, but the crossing should be quick. From there you can walk to Manger square. If you take the bus via Beit Jala (which is also more convenient as it takes you all the way into Bethlehem, a short walk from Manger Square), you will not stop at a checkpoint on the way into Bethlehem; on the way back your bus will stop and your passport will be checked; usually you will stay on the bus during this check.

If you are travelling on an Indian passport you need a visa for Israel in advance, which is stamped in your passport. You will not get a visa on a separate piece of paper.

I am an Indian and I will be travelling with an Indian passport and I also need a visa before arrival. But I will get a separate blue visa ticket and I am sure about this.
