Georgian restaurant(s) in Jerusalem

I will be in Jerusalem next week and have been scouring these boards for restaurant recommendations - I've got lots - far too many to go to them all - but I haven't seen any mention of Georgian restaurants. It may be a long shot, but I always check out a Georgian restaurant when I can, because there sure aren't any in Ottawa. If anyone knows of one, please let me know.

Thanks,

Susan

You won't find ham hocks & chitlins & collard greens there---OH! You mean the OTHER Georgian! (:-)

I look forward to hearing from locals because there must be some great Georgian food in Israel!

I've heard of one place that gets good reviews. But it's in Tel-Aviv, so I don't know if that'll help you. It's called "Nanutchka" and is located at 2 Lilienblum St. (not kosher).

I know of thhe Georgian restaurant named Kangoroo (!) in Jerusalem:

Kangaroo:

Nachalat Shiva (Simtat Maalot)

Never been there myself, though somebody I know recommended it a while ago.

Wow - glad I asked! I'll probably try to check out either Kangaroo (noting the negative review, but beggars can't be choosers!) or the one in Tel Aviv since we will have a full day in and around there.

Thanks for the help!

It is as far from Jerusalem as Tel Aviv.

Givatayim is a town next to Tel Aviv. ( about 4 km from the center of Tel Aviv). You can easily get there by bus no. 63 from Tel Aviv
