Safety in Israel

We are traveling to Jerusalem from 9/29-10/5 with the latest news on the bombings should we cancel our trip? We are hoping that the situation will improve. Can anyone give me an update? Thanks

Arby, please take a look at the other 95 threads on this topic.

You are talking about the end of September, which two and a half months away. Nobody can foresee what will happen even an hour from now, but to cancel a September trip now would be a big mistake.

Based on past experience, the chances are that it will all be over very soon (which of course we all hope for).

If one week before your trip things are looking bad, that's the time to think about cancelling.

Probably a good idea to read some of the 187 replies to similar questions that have been posted in the past couple of weeks.

On another note:

Your trip straddles the Yom Kippur holiday when LITERALLY EVERYTHING is closed (afternoon Oct 3 to dark Oct 4) - except in non-Jewish areas. I hope you have taken this into consideration.

Dear Arby2014, I am listing the other threads with actual information about the situation in Israel - the last answers are not older than some days. I hope you find the answers there:

Please consider NOT starting new threads. It just requires people saying the same thing over and over. Consolidation of the discussion would help a lot. Let's keep updates on the situation to one or two threads, at this point primarily updated by locals.
