From Ben Gurion to Tel Aviv on Friday afternoon

Hi, Im flying to Tel Aviv next week and just checked that it might be a problem to get from an airport to Tel Aviv centre on Friday afternoon, my plane arrives at 4pm. Are there no sherut buses to Tel Aviv/ regular buses or any other budget-way to get to Tel Aviv on Friday afernoon? How expensive is the taxi to Gordon st (in Tel Aviv) area? Adrian

The only option at that time will be a taxi. Public transport will have stopped running by the time you're out of the airport. There is no sherut from the airport to Tel Aviv at any time.

The official taxi rate on Shabbat from the airport to Tel Aviv is NIS 163 with a small extra charge for luggage. Don't go with anyone who approaches you inside the terminal. Follow the signs to TAXIS, where the dispatcher will put you into an official taxi at the official rate. Taxi drivers are not tipped in Israel.
