some more questions.

hi.

we are thinking of going to amman for a few days at the end of december.

we plan to stay for 3 nights in amman, 2 days in aqaba and 1 day again in amman before flying home.

is it possible a day trip to petra?

will the weather be hot enough for swimming and sunbathing?

what are the major things and must see and do while in jordan?

thanks in advance!

1. Re: some more questions.

Many people do day trips to Aqaba - most of the locals actually do day trips rather than overnight stays. However, you must set off early and return late to make the most of it.

You can do the day trip either from Aqaba or Amman.

The weather is something difficult to predict we sometimes have very nice weather around 22oC and sometimes cold around 14oC. The Dead Sea area and Aqaba are always a good 5+o more than other parts of Jordan. Check out the weather history on weatherunderground website - it will give you a good idea.

The main sites are Petra, Jerash, Baptism Site, Mount Nebo - Madaba, Karak Castle, and then zillions of more lesser sites nontheless interesting to a great many visitors.
