Is it safe to visit Bahrain...

Planning to visit Bahrain in the Christmas week with family, including 6 and 3 year old kids. Is it safe to do so? How frequent are the demonstrations and how unsafe is it, if at all?

Would really appreciate replies.

Bahrain is quite safe. Nothing to worry about really. Demonstrations are rare and limited to the villages if they do happen. Keep a positive outlook and enjoy your vacation!

In summer 2014, all very safe. I visit Bahrain once a month and I have never had any issues. It's a friendly, fun place.

Apply a bit of common sense like staying away from known hot spots when a demo is called or happening & you should be fine .... as a visitor & tourist you would not normally be around the areas where trouble can be found anyway ...... be sensible & enjoy your visit !

Lots of fun activities for the kids, and the weather would be beautiful - you can try camping, adventure parks, water parks, animal park, dolphin watching, plus many christmas festivals on in the hotels. The lighting in the country is so pretty as well.
