Oman and Ramadan

How's Oman during Ramadan?

Will it disrupt our holiday or we will still find tours etc?

During Ramadhan, most restaurants have late night opening and the best coffee shops in town are filled to the brim with people who stay up very late at night.

It is a different experience, but much of the town functions under reduced hours during the day time.

Most hotels will offer dining throughout the day for guests.

they may screen off the restaurant or the entrance to not offend anyone but you do not go hungry.

Many places ofer an "Iftar buffet" - a giant buffet to break the Fast after sundown - these are generally not expensive and offer great food choices.

I really enjoy them. Of course no alcohol but numerous choices of fruit drinks.

While things are a little more quiet during Ramadan- no reason not to visit in my opinion-

Is it still possible to eat snacks/drink bottles of water etc around pool areas of hotels during the day?

Thanks,

Not sure really.

But as others said, hotel restaurants will be open.

No trouble to quietly drink or eat a small snack nearby to the pool or private beach areas of major hotels.
