Visiting Sultan Qaboos Mosque

We are staying at Al Bandar and want to visit the Mosque one morning. What is the best/cheapest way for four of us to travel between the Mosque and the hotel? Should I organise something through the hotel, I hear they up the prices wherever possible?

Thanks

Rent a salon car you will get a Toyota Yaris around 10 - 15 Omr / day! It's much more cheaper than a taxi!

Thanks for that quick reply! Is it best to hire a car at the hotel for just a day?

Definitely rent a car, much cheaper and more convenient.

Make sure that the car you rent will be from a reputable international companies (Hertz ...etc). Small local companies are notorious for giving inadequate insurance coverage to save costs. Once you have an accident, you will find lots of issues coming up from the fine print in the contract. The worst that some people are hit with is that the driver may be responsible for daily rental until the car is repaired, which can take weeks in local garages.
