Please can anyone tell me the type of plugs that work/ voltage in Doha. Also at the Hilton, are the haidryers very good? Random question I know, but need to decide if need to take my own. Thanks

1. Re: Power supply/ adapters

Qatar electricity supply is 240V at 50 Hz.

Type of plug is BS1363 sometimes written with as BS-1363. Google BS1363 and you can see the images.

I would advice you to invest in a good universal adapter, they really are life savers,

Never stayed in Hilton so unable to comment on quality of Hair dryer but I would expect it to be good as Hilton is a good hotel.

Enjoy your stay in Doha

Thanks, looks like a standard UK plug so that's helpful.

the standard UK 3 pin plug is commonly used in the middle east. however it is always wise to carry a 2 to 3 pin adaptor just in case!
