Unmarried and sharing a hotel room

Am i right that i would not be able to share a hotel room with my boyfriend.

I have read it is illegal to share a room if we are not marrried.

Has anyone any advice?

Who will know you're not married? Lots of people do it and lots of women retain their maiden names so don't worry.

Most people will assume you are married and it's best not to contradict them. ILME

I can only agree once more with ILME. At check-in the hotels will ask to see one passport and probably need to see that person's credit card. If you're shy, don't even go with him, pop for a coffee in the foyer.

Agreed. UAE doesn't interfer too much in people's private business unless you give them a reason to. Just be low key and discrete and no one will bother you. Enjoy your time in UAE, it's a beautiful country!

I've been on holiday in Dubai with my girlfriend. We shared a room and had no problem.
