Yes, there is a Public Bus Stop very near to Millennium Hotel Abu Dhabi.

Only 2 city buses (No. 40 & No. 63) are operating via Khalifa Street, where your hotel is there.

No. 40 starts from Al Marya Island (sowwa square) and goes upto Khalifa Park.

No. 63 starts from Reem Island and goes upto Marina Mall.

Your hotel is near the central hub of regional buses. If you walk 2 minutes right side from your Hotel towards traffic signal you can get plenty of Regional Buses, that goes to outside the Abu Dhabi city, like Mussafa, ICADl, Khalifa City, MBZ City, Shahama, Baniyas, Yas Island, etc.

You can find the route maps here:

I would love to visit the Sheikh Zayed Mosque (bus 54) and joined the 10am walk. And to enjoy the architecture beauty of Hyatt Capital Gate.(bus 40)

From Millenium Hotel Abu Dhabi, where should i go to to change from bus 40 to bus 54 or vice versa?

The map showed that both buses go to Zayed sports city, but the bus 40 is not in the bus list ?

It is a bit confusing, does bus 40 pass by with no stop at Zayed Sports city?

I will be Abu Dhabi for 3 days, and will prefer to buy the Ojra’ Weekly Bus Pass.

I could take all buses with this,? eg., local bus, regional bus, suburb bus

Bus services 40, 54, and all regional buses stop at Zayed Sport City

Ojra Passes are only valid for local bus services.

Zayed sport city bus stop is not same as Sheikh Zayed grand mosque. You cannot walk from Zayed sports city and reach grand mosque easily.

Bus 40 doesn't pass by grand mosque. Only Bus 54 is passing via Grand Mosque.

Taxis are better options. But if you still want to cover by Bues, it can be done like this.

Take bus no. 54 from Hamdan Street (Near Adidas Show room, 3 min walk from your hotel), reach Grand Mosque (will take 45-50 min). While return take the same bus number and get down at Zayed sports city, and catch Bus no. 40, see your second attraction, Hyatt Capital Gate, take same bus no. 40 for returning, it drops you at your hotel in Khalifa street.

Zayed Grand Mosque is served by bus services 32, 44, 54, and all Regional buses.

There are quite a few travel options if you are willing to transfer.

The issue about bus service 40 is that the current posted 20-minute frequency is not always operated due to bus shortages (crazy car drivers keep smashing into buses and vice versa), so you may be in for a 40 to 60-minute wait.

Regional buses stop at Zayed Grand Mosque and Zayed Sport City. Travel time from AD CBD is about 25 - 40 minutes depending on traffic.

New bus timetables will be valid from 31Jan 2014. Please check DoT website for updates or call 800 88888.

You have to pay the bus fare to the driver.

Local bus fare : Dhs. 2

Suburb Bus fare: Dhs. 4 or 5.
