Smaller towns

OK guys, I'm planning my next trip down and need some info if anyone's got it. I'm planning to enter the country across the Uruguay River from Argentina in the town of Bella Union in the north and working my way down, hopefully hitting Paysandu and Paso de Torros before coming in to MVD.

I can't find any info on hotels in Bella Union. I'm confident there is adequate lodging in Paysandu, but does anyone know for sure that I can find something decent (Motel 6 equivalent) in Bella Union and Paso de Torros?

(Websites would be appreciated :o)

For Bella Union try >

www.hotel-oriente.com.uy/index.php…

In Paysandu you ve got more options Casagrande the best in town but quiet expensive and Hotel Lobato average for Pdu , other option Mykonos, Plaza

At Paso de los Toros you ve got a camping and some houses for rent

If you decided not to stay in Paso de los Toros you can continue to Durazno and there you ve got 2 or 3 hotels , 2 of them very similar to Pdu options and one brand new

Instead of Paso de los Toros you could choose Tacuarembó city with the Carlos Gardel hotel.

THANKS guys.

I was beginning to worry.

It looks like a nicer hotel than I was expecting in Bella Union and renting a cabana in Paso de Toros looks like a lot of fun too!
