Daily allowance

As per previous post re ATM's, its been 10 years since my last visit. Back then $50 got me through each day with some to spare.

Last I read on internet was 2011 and $50 recommended...thinking $70/day more than enough, any feedback greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Graeme

I think you would be hard pushed to spend that amount.

Even in top restaurants in Sucre you could delicious 3-course meals for less than $20

Agree. Lunch for me was a saltena and an OJ on the street - $1.10 for both. Dinner could range anywhere between $5 and $30 depending where and how much you eat.

Boozy.. a Scotsman's bar bill. Now that can get pretty hefty. If someone else is buying..double it.

Beer doesn't cost much more than soda or water.

My budget was $3 to $5 for lunch (a nice lunch). A beer should be about $1.50 to $2.00.

For all the whining about Evo, the Bolivian currency has been remarkably stable and there hasn't been much inflation.

That's because it's pegged to the USD and adjusted from time to time.
