Licensing Requirements for Nurses in Colombia?

I am a U.S.-trained nurse who recently moved to Bogota, Colombia. I'd like to find a local job working as a nurse, but I'm not really sure where to start. Does anyone know a) if there are any special licenses I need to acquire before becoming a nurse in Colombia and b) where I should begin my job search? Is there a "Monster.com" equivalent here in Colombia? Many thanks for any and all advice!

My suggestion, walk into your local hospital or clinic and ask a nurse.

If your Spanish isnt good enough then you have problem number 1 - you need to become fluent, also not sure what visa you are currenly under, you may have to change your status.

There are a lot of recruiters in Bogota, ask around to see if you can locate one the specializes in nursing, i am sure there are some.

Alo check Linkedin they have numerous groups that are specific to Colombia
