I am looking for any helpful tips or info from fellow travellers....
Four of us (two youngish couples) are taking a cruise in January around the South Pacific - Vanuatu, New Caledonia and Norfolk Island. We enjoy relaxing with a cocktail or four but also want to have a good look around.
Basically we have been told that the shore tours that you can book on the ships are more expensive so may consider booking with operators directly. Just wondering if anyone has any reccomendations on activities or know if the tours that would usually run will just be fully booked out for people on cruise?
Also we not sure if we want to bring our own snorkel equipment or can you just hire gear on land without problem?
I heard that some of the islands accept Australian Dollars?
Any info or opinions will be greatly appreciated
