Had a wonderful time again in Samoa after deciding to return and help the economy along after the tsunami. Had 12 days last July, moved lots and saw lots and decided to have a more relaxing time this visit. 4 nights at Aggies Resort which was lovely. A bit disapointing not to be able to do the water sports as Cyclone Rene was close by, but the pool is so beautiful we just enjoyed that. The grounds are truly georgeous, Sunday church service was very moving and mostly in English. The staff were all really helpful and friendly the fia fia was great. It is a very big resort, I don't think I'd like it so much in high season when it's really busy. We then caught the ferry to Savaii and back to the fabulous Savaiian Hotel where we'd stayed 2 nights last year. We were warmly welcomed and loved our 4 nights here again. It has to be the best value in Samoa with air conditioned rooms, a simple but delicious restaurant set right on the water front with magnificent views. We relaxed there, caught the bus 15 mins to Lano where the snorkelling is very good, had lunch at the fales there. Hired a car the next day and went back to Aganoa Beach for lunch and a snorkel after visiting the new markets in Saleologa- yummy pineapples! Aganoa is truly beautiful and going in wet season we had the beach almost to ourselves. We had our last night at La Vasa which was extremely disappointing, very small pool, can't swim at the beach and service from the manager not very good. Enough said about that.
We are planning another trip, each time you learn to love the Samoan people more and see more of their beautiful country.
