Food prices compared to The Havannah

Hi all

We are currently fine tuning our budget to take for our short 4 night trip to Vanuatu. We are staying at The Havannah and have seen their menu so know how much the food is but would like to know how it compares to say Wahoo, La Tentation. We have currently budgeted for 4000V each for dinner and drinks and 2000 for lunch and snacks for the day - we are out to have a good time as it is our first trip away in ages!

Is this too much, too little or a good ball-park?

Thanks

That amount should be ok but you might go over that amount for lunch if you are eating at upmarket restaurants and have a few drinks. But if you are just having a hamburger, steak sandwich, fish & chips at a cafe with a drink that should be ok.

Try to get to Les Jardin des Saveurs for dinner one night!

Have fun!

Many of the local restaurants now have their menus online so you can see what they are offering and plan ahead.

Almost every place now has a lunch special and the ones I have seen range from 1000 -1500vt.

Even though we always stay at very nice resorts, we always take our own snacks from home (I'm gluten intolerant and vegan so that is the main reason) and nothing worse than being peckish and not finding anything suitable. We also buy food from the supermarket and make our own impromptu snack kind of lunch, then we can eat anywhere, and enjoy beautiful scenery!

There are some cheaper places to eat in Port Vila that will cost less than 2000 vt. We also went to Les Jardin des Saveurs for dinner, it was very nice.

I can't wait to read your review of The Havannah, we were going to stay there, but stayed at Eratap instead.

Enjoy your holiday :-) it sounds well deserved.
