Yangon : Shwedagon Pagoda 5, Botataung Pagoda 2, Sule 2, National Museum 5.

Mandalay : Zone fees 10, Amarapura, Sagaing, In-wa, Mingun for all 3

Bagan : Zone Fees 10, Archaeological Museum 5

Pindaya : 3, Inle Lake : 5, Bago 10, Golden Rock 6

Mostly in US$. But it can be payable in Kyats at the Shwedagon Pagoda. More expensive than paying by US$.

For Mandalay, 10 for Mandalay Zone Fees which cover Amarapura, Inwa (AVA) and Mandalay area including the Mandalay Royal Palace. But for the museum inside the Palace, have to pay another 3. (not many people go)

Another 3 $ for Sagaing and Mingun area.

Remember the ticket is valid only for three days.

In Bagan, there is a new Palace(just a year), look impressive and very gold from the gate charge USD5 per entry. You will see it by the road side if you come from Naung-Oo, before you reach the Archealogical Museum.

Camera fees are .50 cents ~$1 or so, $2 for video cameras. Entrance fees have not gone up, AFAIK...

Hi kkym, I was in Shwedagon Pagoda in December. A sign said that US$ were no longer accepted. Only Kyat was possible, 5000 per person.

Maybe because Shwedagon Pagoda is one of the few places where the fees ( at least a part of it ) are actually invested in maintenance it is easier for the management to get kyats or maybe the fluctuation of the $ got them worried?

Actually No kyats is payable for entrance fees. And there are no signs that show ONe can pay in Kyats Everywhere in the entrance it is written in US dollars.

But at the shwedagon, if you don't have dollars, then they charge you in kyats. 5000 kyats is too much to compare in 5 usd. Sometimes they look at dollars, if dollars is alittle bit old and some lines in it, then they say to pay in Kyats.and if you pay in 50 usd note or 100 usd note, and then they say Can't change cos they want kyats. Note that they always want kyats so that they got outside money.
