Sent off everything to the Embassy in London on 14th September and received it back on 22nd September.
Total cost was around £28 which included Registered envelope there and back inc. the £14 postal order.
Very pleased with the response.

"I visited the London Embassy last Monday morning, and collected my visa in person last Thursday afternoon. This is a standard service available to personal callers. It is not advertised on the website, but there is a notice up in the Embassy itself.
If you have the time to visit, it is fairly painless. There were four people ahead of me in the queue to deposit the application, and nobody ahead of me when I went to collect."
I posted our applications by special delivery on 17th Dec, still have not received them back. Phoned Embassy today, they are trying to find them and are closed tomorrow( Friday) .We fly out on 9th so are getting worried
Posted mine on the same day and like you havent received anything back yet....
Martin W & Phi Phi, we sent our's on the 15th Dec and they arrived this morning. If you haven't got them yet, I would imagine they'll be here PDQ.
Fingers crossed.
Edited: 8 years agoOther forums are suggesting it is currently taking 3 weeks and this is getting longer so apply in plenty of time.
Spoke to Embassy , visas have been processed so will pick up on Wednesday on way to Heathrow rather than rely on the mail. What a relief
Wow, seat-of-your-pants stuff.
Glad it's sorted.
