Myanmar Travel Agents

Good News Travels The best travel agent we have ever had . We are in our 60s and booked a three week trip to Myanmar through William Myatwunna. He tailored the trip around our requirements. We were met in Yangon with big bunches of roses, which set the tone for the whole holiday.

We had five internal flights, and in each sector a different guide and driver all of whom were excellent, and the guides spoke good English. We stayed in good hotels throughout, and always seemed to have a large room with a view.

All the arrangements were second to none,William appears to take a personal interest in his clients.

We hope to return to Myanmar, and would have no hesitation in using him again and recommending him to others.

Welcome to the Myanmar forum, thanks for your post-you could have added it to this recommendation thread here

Would you be so good as to add your hotel reviews, and post your itinerary and pricing,so as to help fuure travellers.

Who did you use for your International flights,I ask because for many, many years I used TG (Thai) but I am thinking of trying QR (Qatar) who now fly into Yangon.

Good News Travel provides an excellent service for those who want to travel independently with guides, car and driver. We just spent eleven days in Myanmar in January 2015 and our trip went flawlessly, with excellent guides at each stop (Yangon, Lake Inle, Kalaw, Bagan, Mandalay). As mentioned in other posts, there are sometimes delays in reaching the office in Yangon by e-mail, but, once the itinerary was approved and the trip was commenced, everything went off without a hitch. We were met at each airport we flew into, driven to our hotel and then met each morning by the guide and driver (or guide and boatman at Lake Inle) for a full day of sight seeing. The guides were uniformly knowledgeable and very personable and the drivers/boatmen were always there on time to take us to the next destination. We were then taken to the airport and checked in with the help of our guide (an important service at some Myanmar airports where things can be pretty confusing). We met William Myatwunna, the owner, in Mandalay and were very impressed with him as well. He struck us as very professional and competent. The guides are all independent contractors and they tend to book up during "high season" so the best bit of advice I can give is to book early in order to get the best guides, as well as the best hotels. We also liked the two hotels arranged for us by Good News Travel at Lake Inle and in Bagan (the Tharabar Gate). All in all, I would highly recommend Good News Travel to those interested in traveling independently with guides in Myanmar.
