In May, Ngwe Saung beach is almost closed. Bay of Bengal hotel is the one who opens all the year round. Contact them for better arrangement.

After mid May is not recommend to be there. It is just beginning of monsoon. Strong rain and thunderstorm. First week of May is possible.

Only one night , its not fun. You need to take about 6 hrs drive (total 12 hrs to go and back) and stay one night . tired.

Weather is hard to predict but May is not the good month as mention above .

If it's a 6 hour drive from Rangoon wouldn't it be a good idea to move it out of the top things to do there - it's no 5 so I imagine a lot of people might think it was in or close to the city.
