Ferry to Dalah

My Lonely Planet states that a permit is needed to cross the river to visit Dalah. Is that still the case?

Is it worth the trip for half a day or so?

You do not need any permission.

As soon as you get there, the tri-shaw drivers will come and offer a trip for 4-5000 Kyats. If you like people, nature it's worth to make a half day tour.
