Rains & roads in Cote D'Ivoire

I'm planning to visit in July 2012, but would like to know how constant the rain is - does it rain all day, or just in bursts for a couple of hours each day?

Is it still possible to enjoy the beaches?

Also, has anyone taken the Monrovia - Man - Yammousokro route recently, and was it safe and passable in the rainy season?

You can plan your trip, the rain wont stop you from having good time on the beaches at Assini and Bassam.

It is too risky to take the rout Monrovia-Man Yammousokro from criminal aspects. It is still not safe.
