You don't have to reserve it, but it's nicer to take part in free guided touris when visiting palaces.

Just a reminder, for Cheong Wa Dae (Blue House), you will need to make free reservations for the tour.

Here is more information about the tour and how to make a reservation : theseoulguide.com/taking-tour-of-cheong-wa-d…

I don't recommend COEX Mall unless you're in the area and it's raining (or other bad weather). Go to Garosugil instead for coffee and people watching. Or if you really need to go to a mall, check out Times Square Mall with the largest IMAX theatre in the world and sometimes events.

Thanks for the reply but want to ask if the time would allow the places in one day? And is it in order? Thanks

You should go to Samcheongdong after Gyeongbokgung Palace. Then go to Insadong. Then Cheonggyecheon.

Please take a look at these suggested itineraries.
