Egypt Online Adventures or Ask Aladdin Tour Companies

We two 60-yr. olds are going to Egypt this summer for two weeks. We're considering two companies: Egypt Online Adventures or Ask Aladdin. Both offer 15-day tours with 5- or 6-days in Hurghada or Sharm el Sheik (where we want to do some liveaboard scuba diving) as well as the usual tours of Cairo, Luxor, Aswan, Nile Cruise, etc. We would really appreciate any feedback we could get on either of these companies regarding reliability, quality of service, lodgings, transportations, guides, optional sidetrips (like Abu Simbel or desert safari), etc. Thanks!

We booked a 16 day vacation with Egypt Online Adventures and it was the most amazing vacation ever! We were celebrating 15 years of marriage and Terri at EOA went out of her way to add in little surprises during every step of the vacation. When we first decided to go to Egypt we contacted several companies who offered the 15+ day packages, we did not contact Ask Aladdin – there was no particular reason we did not contact them – so we cannot comment on their service. We quickly selected EOA for numerous reasons; the top two were promptness and flexibility. Terri responded to my simplest questions (my many questions) so fast, and would work my inquiries on additions to the itinerary the same day. She is very friendly and her responses were so personable and honest. Second was the flexibility, I felt other agencies were pushing us to group tours – other than being tied to dates of departure for our dive boat and Nile Cruise we were able to build the rest of the itinerary to meet our needs. It was very personalized and the entire vacation was at our pace. We had private transfers and guides for every tour. We plan to return to Egypt in the following year to do some diving and we will look nowhere else, we will book with EOA. Feel free to send a PM if you have any specific questions.

We travelled with Ask Aladdin betweem 11-Dev and 04-Jan. Before we left Australia for our family holiday of a lifetime, we were nervous about travelling to a country with three children at a time of supposed life threatening unrest. Our government’s website placed Egypt under “Reconsider your needs to travel” alert. What the hell does that mean? We emailed the Cairo embassy and they were very guarded with their advice and guidance. We made calls to Ask-Aladdin Travel, who had been very helpful throughout the planning phase of our holiday, and they kept us up to date with the happenings in Cairo. They always made us comfortable with the option of deferring our holiday if we wished, but went out of their way to give us real information. They proved to be extremely accurate with the actual situation.

We had a fantastic holiday and this is 100% due to Ask-Aladdin’s professional commitment and expertise, from the planning phase where we constantly added and altered itineraries, through the safety deliberations just before we left, and on to the execution of the plan where not a beat was missed. We have been on tours/holidays that were far less complicated than this trip and never has the holiday gone so smoothly as this 24 day trip. We will be singing their praises for a long time to come.

Would be happy to answer any queries you may have.

We are two 60 year old Americans who were traveling with our 29 year old son in Egypt. We had a wonderful time using the Ask-Aladdin guide service for a 5 day tour in Egypt. The accommodations at the Le Meridian Pyramids hotel were great and the "pyramid view" from our balcony was like a dream to wake to each morning! Our Cairo team (Islam Fekry-company representative, Mohamed Sheta and Ahmed Hamada-guides, and Babou; sp?-driver) were exceptional. Always on time, always totally prepared, friendly and accommodating, and very knowledgeable. We would highly recommend this service for any person who wants a completely personalized tour of Egypt.

I had a WONDERFUL time during my trip in Egypt! My guide Mona was kind,

knowledgable and helpful, as was everyone else whom I dealt with through the tour company. Bassem Saad, who helped me set up my trip, was always very quick to respond and very eager to help. I am thrilled to say that my overall experience was really amazing.

I will definitely use Egypt Travel Experts and Ask Aladdin next time I travel to Egypt!

My husband and I have recently returned from the most amazing trip to Egypt. We were on an 8 day tour including Cairo and a Nile cruise with our personal guide, driver and air-conditioned car. In our opinion this is the best way to travel as time management is more flexible.

From the first planning stages the Ask Aladdin website was very informative and user friendly. The more questions we had we found the emails with Bassem Saad to be very helpfull and the his replys quick.

When we landed in Cairo our luggage didn't, and having an Ask Aladdin agent there eased our stress after a very long flight, as he handled everything expertly. His name is Ramadan Saber Eid Rajab and a big thank-you to him. Right from the start we felt at ease as everyone was so friendly.

We have travelled the world and the accomodations in Cairo and on the boat for the cruise would definitely be considered 5 star by European standards. I would suggest asking for a hotel in Cairo with a view of the pyramids. The service on the cruise was excellent, the food great and the boat was very clean.

We would be remiss in not mentioning our tour guide, Ahmed Khalifa, He really knows his Egyptian history and his knowledge and love of Egypt made us appreciate the country more. He is very personable and humourous. Also, on our tour our cruise was shortened to 2 nights from the 4 we expected. Initially, this was a worry to us but Ahmed was able to organize everything so that we didn't miss a thing on our planned itinerary and even managed to fit in a few more excursions. You would be very fortunate to get him as a guide.

Before we left on our trip every one of our friends and family couldn't understand why we would go to Egypt when it was so soon after the revolution and only a couple of days after the US ambassador was shot in Libya over a YouTube film. Their worry was unnecessary as we felt very safe and the local people friendly. We have travelled to other countries and have not felt as comfortable.

Our only regret on the trip as a whole is we should have planned to stay longer. Maybe next time. Thank-you once again to everyone at Ask Aladdin we interacted with.

My wife and I used Ask Aladdin to provide us a tour of Egypt. This group is very, very organized and they are incredibly friendly. Our itinerary was customized to our schedule and included exactly what we wanted to see. Our tour guide in Cairo, Shareen, was incredibly helpful and very informative. As was Mustafa, our tour guide in Aswan/Abu Simbel/Nile Cruise.

Ask Aladdin made the trip so enjoyable, educational, fun, and safe. We would HIGHLY recommend using Ask Aladdin if you are planning to travel to Egypt.

We have just completed a trip to Egypt (10 - 21 November 2012) impeccably organised by Mr. Bassem Saad at Ask Aladdin.

Arriving at Cairo airport we were met by Ask Aladdin's agent, Mr. Ramadan, who steered us through immigration and customs and ensured all of our travel arrangements in Egypt were completely stress free. At no time were we unsure or anxious about our transport, accommodation or our security.

Our accommodation was exceptionally good 5 star. What could be better than gazing at the pyramids from your bedroom in Cairo, feluccas sailing in a Nile sunset from your balcony in Luxor or all of Cairo spread before you from our last hotel on the banks of the Nile. Our four night Nile cruise not only took us to many amazing archaeological sites, but also turned out to be great fun, scenically stunning and very relaxing. Again, very comfortable accommodation, great food and enthusiastic staff.

Our guides Sandy in Cairo and Omar in Luxor were both extremely knowledgeable and very accommodating to our needs. As well as giving us all the information we could need about the ancient sites we chose to visit, they also gave us insights into modern Egyptian life and the Egyptian people. Their generosity in sharing and explaining aspects of their lives fostered in us a great affection for Egypt.

Both of us had studied Ancient Egyptian History at school, so this trip had been a dream for nearly 50 years. It lived up to and beyond all expectations and we unreservedly recommend Ask Aladdin if you are planning to visit Egypt. And do visit Egypt. It's an amazing experience on so many levels.

Heartfelt thanks to everyone at Ask Aladdin who made this journey so memorable.

Robert and Michael, Australia.

Interested in which Cairo hotel you were in that gave you a view of the pyramids.

TIA
