Which cabin is best?

We're taking a Nile cruise from Luxor to Aswan (S/S Sudan). Would one side of the ship be preferable to the other in terms of views, etc?

Thank you.

Starboard would be best.

While cruising, views are best appreciated from a seat on deck rather than from a cabin window and, I found, if there is anything special to be seen, passengers simply move and stand at the rails for a while.

When tied up overnight, the boat may well be positioned between other boats, completely blocking any view and neccessitating drawn curtains for privacy.

Between Luxor and Aswan the ship is sailing south - you may prefer morning sun (port side) or afternoon sun (starboard) shining into your cabin.

I really don't think it matters a great deal as cruising time is usually spent on deck.

there is absolutely no difference, as stated before , while cruising you can have a view from both sides, BUT when at night they all dock for overnight and normally many boats dock over each others (till max of 7 boats in some cases) so just try to get a cabin towards the front of the boat not to the rear to escape from the noise of the engine and the viberation, also not to be blow the bar as it make the room so noisy
