Duty free shop

Hi

I understand that there is a duty free shop on the 'Corniche el Nil' in Aswan.

How far would this be from where the cruise ships dock? Could I walk there or would it be better to take a taxi? (I think I know the answer to that really!) How much should a taxi be (approximately).

Thanks for any replies.

Kate, it depends where your ship docks. If you have to take a taxi, assuming a centralish dock position, you should pay around 10LE, per car. It is an easy walk to the Duty Free from where boats dock. f you just want Egyptian beer or wine, you can get this much closer to where many boats dock.

AF - where please?

Is it very close to the moorings because the nearer the better really.

Thank you.

I would post the details here, Kate but if you don't use The Duty Free shop, a little discretion is advisable when buying alcohol. I'll PM you.
