Looks very similar to what you'd get in some of the up market London hotels.

LE 75 works out at £8.35 or approximately £4.18 per person, so it's not really all that expensive, considering the prices people are now reporting the hotels as charging for drinks on their own & I guess it's one of those things that people would maybe do once as a treat (like afternoon tea on the terrace of The Old Cataract, at sunset).

In terms of 'nourishment value for money' of course it's not worth it, but as far as I'm concerned, it's a vital part of our holiday.

Vital, that is unless they make it any dearer, in which case Mr 'HOW much?'D-D will stay by the pool & I'll have to put my posh frock on sneak off alone for tea. He's not mean, just was brought up in err, umm... the northern reaches of Britain, beyond Hadrian's wall.

Hi eLaReF

Glad to see you got home safely. Hope you had a great holiday and looking forward to reading your reviews.

Just to clarify - is that 75LE each person, and so would that be 150LE for what's in your photo?

Quote, eLaReF: "Was just about to reply - It is £75E PER PERSON!!"

Ah, that puts a whole new light on it. Definitely one of those things you do, just to be able to say you have done it, but not for having a proper afternoon meal.

DivaDarling

I just noticed the END of yr e-mail

So, what is wrong with us folks from God's Country????

We are just CAREFUL with our money!! - So we can blow it on Afternoon Tea when we want to!!

P.S. A couple of other guests watched me take the photo.

I explained it was to answer an internet question - the woman then said 'TripAdvisor?' - It was LMN12 who I had PM'd info re the WP in January!!

Hi again

I thought it was 75LE each - it's a tad too expensive for me I'm afraid, I could eat what's on those plates for two on my own (greedy guts that I am!!) but, considering that a beer at the WP costs 40LE, I suppose maybe it's not that bad. And, of course, it is one of THE things to do in Luxor!!

Hi,

would call 75le a bargain, try the Ritz in London, £32.00 and a six to twelve weeks waiting list, got it made in Luxor.
