Where to go

I have booked another 2 weeks off in October/November, any ideas of where I can go on holiday, I might go back AGAIN to Luxor, but I haven't been on this one yet, May 19th (sorry eLaReF 83 more sleeps), such quandaries.

I'm off to Jordan for 9 days in October Bob - having a bit of a change this year, but I don't know how much of Luxor will be standing when I eventually do get back there!!

LOL Bob,

How about trying a Nile Cruise or a few days in Cairo or Aswan?

Only another 47 sleeps for me and another 209 sleeps till my September break, have not yet started the countdown till April 2011 ;-)

That word sl**ps!!!!!!!

AAArrrggghhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I can't even say it.

We might know by March if/when we can expect to go back ourselves

P.S. I thought about answering your question by telling you where to go, but the posting might be removed by TA!!

You could try Aswan/Abu Simbel etc., but no King's Head or similar there that I know of.

Well I am planning the 30th September, seems ages away :(

I contemplated Morocco and Turkey this year but Luxor just had that pull :)

Cairo 3 days, fly down to Aswan, 3night Nile cruise & the rest of the time in Luxor before travelling back to Cairo for a couple of nights (otherwise the flight depature times can be awkward, to say the least).

Perhaps you could extend your time in Aswan; lovely city BTW, so youo can take in at least one night in The Old Cataract & have an Agatha Christie moment.

Let's be honest though, Egypt has something to fill anyone's holiday :)

Keith, give me a day or so and I will let you have some photos of the Nile Palace.

Don't eat at the hotel (evening meal) as there are so many places to eat.

Maximes (down the road to the left of the Nile Palace) about 250 yards or so.

Lantern over the road down a side street (150 yards or so).

Go onto www.luxortraveltips.com and get reviews of restaurants, maps everything you could need.

I will send a pic of myself, so you will recognize me and the Mrs and we can have a pint at the airport,.

I am staying overnight, due to the early start.
