The general advice about this, is don't do it!!!!

I very strongly feel that with extreme dentistry like this you would be much much safer having it done in the UK.

I also considered using a dentist in Egypt for this as well as looking into possibilities of another european country but even though costs were much less I had it done in Scotland. Many uk dentists will not sort/fix work done abroad(poor implants)-and I know how much is involved in getting implants correct-I decided not to risk it and Im happy with Scottish results. Im sure there are very good dentists who are quite capable of carrying out this dental work-but personally I wouldn't have full treatment there-for proper healing and setting it takes several visits(over several months)

-it is not done in one day.PM if you have any questions

My husband was happy with the emergency work done by a Luxor dentist on a crown he had which broke at the beginning of a holiday a few years ago, his own dentist said that a good job was carried out and the price was way cheaper than here in the UK, however he'd have reservations about getting major dental work done whilst there.

I think too that you would perhaps have to look carefully at your holiday insurance to make sure it covered you well just in case there were any problems. You may well be asked to pay an extra premium.

Go to Hungary for cheap dental work at an amazing price. I had 8 of my teeth crowned there 4 years ago. Couldn't fault the place. I came back and two strangers stopped me in the street within a week to compliment my teeth and ask where I'd had them done. One was a dentist!

I've since seen 4 Brit dentists for check ups and fillings and all said it's fantastic quality work.

Drivercarps, without any undue disrespect, a tooth being crowned is a whole different ball game to having implant work. If the op had enquirer about having a tooth crowned, it is possible that the answers would have been different.

Don't really agree. Plus the place I had my crowns done is actually a specialist implant centre. Crowns are a sideline. Major dental work is major dental work. One place isn't going to be great at one thing and rubbish at another.
