Shoes

Anyone have a great recommendation for safari shoes/boots? We live in Hawaii and do not wear them!! Thank you

bringing this up to top again as had fallen onto page 2........

I didn't go on safari....so hopefully others will answer soon. Do remember reading though, that if your not on a walking/hiking safari that trainers/sneaker will be okay.....see what the others advise

I would second lauras comment on the trainers.. unless you intend to have a hiking/walking holiday.......you can buy Batta safari boots very cheaply in Nairobi or Mombasa for about $12 .00

i thibk you have a high ankle trainer in Hawaii that would be fine

If you are notr going on a walking safari, any shoes will do, our lot all wore flip flops this last week

I wear sandals on game drives. If you're planning on some safari walks, I'd also bring a pair of closed toe shoes but really anything that's comfortable for you is fine.

I agree with Drakesdrum!

Support local industries and buy Bata.

I would advise against flip flops unless they have very thick soles - too many sharp things to stub your toes on. (Also here the basic ones are used as bathroom slippers and not for walking out in.)
