You can book direct with the hotels and get flights and transfers yourself its not difficult. KA, BA, Virgin or the charters will give you 2 weeks in Kenya.

This is what I was going to do, but I found it cheaper to book 12 days with first choice as a package deal and just not use the hotel when we were on safari. Our entire package deal cost less than flights alone with Virgin, BA or KA. Worth a shot to have a look on their websites for deals.

We always book direct with the hotel & arrange our own flights, we always go in august which is not good since we are in the uk & its peak season so the flights are not so cheap. last august our flights were £560 each ouch ! just looked on gateway and they are offering flights at the moment for £289 ! for a 14 night stay but this is for the near future if you are planning ahead its risky to leave it till the last minute. We have stayed at the turtle bay beach club in watamu for many years and have found its cheaper for us to book direct than with a tour company

Hi,

we are always booking seperate. Flights from here and with the hotel, we are always checking if it is better to book directly, with our kenyan agent or if a german agency has better prices.

Here in Germany it is most of the time better to book the flights asap. You get the better prices.

Because we are always longer on safari a package booking is not so interesting for us. Another reason is, that we prefer it to be one week in one hotel before safari and to change to another hotel for another week after safari. Is only because we like it for a change.

Wish you good luck and success for your plannings and bookings

Bye

Chrissy
