costs of a single on safari

Hi Guys

With the good old sterling taking a beating at the moment its difficult to know if prices quoted in advance for safaris are good or not. As a single I have been qoted £620 one night at Sereana lodge Mara this includes a suppliment for me being a single

Perhaps its mean but that seems a lot of dosh to me The quote was with Kenya Wildlife Safari from iobc

Also with the state of both econmies at the moment and hotel bookings down it does sound mean to charge a single suppliment

Sounds a lot to me, try some of the other companies mentioned on the forum, JT Safari, Safari Hits, DM etc there are many recommendations. Also you get a much better deal with two nights instead of one.

Ridiculous price I was getting silly quotes too, but some were reasonable and coming in at that price for 3 nights. I ended up booking via Virgin as to be honest by the time I had packaged it together it was coming out more expensive. My problems was I was 1 adult and 2 12 year olds so was having to pay for 3 adults. If you want to contact me I will give you the contac t at Virgin who was really good. But to be honest will depend when you are going.
