We’re thinking of visiting Lamu on our next holiday to Malindi. There used to be a safari company advertising such holidays situated in a row of shops next to the Standard Chartered Bank.
Does anyone know if these safari companies offer many accommodations in Lamu, are any of the safari companies to beto recommended?
Would we be advised to book with a safari company or do it ourselves either by bus or air on arrival?
The (fourth) Rough Guide to Kenya certainly suggests that travelling by bus, getting the ferry to Lamu and selecting our own accommodation on arrival an adventure in itself. I don’t know if the wife would like to put up with the uncertainty and might prefer a package.
Is hepatitis still a risk at Lamu?
