Booking safari whilst on holiday

Sorry if this has been asked before!

We will be at Voyager Beach in November and wondered if it's better to book a safari from home or leave it until we're already there.

Also, what is an estimated cost of a 3 night/4 day safari?

I've seen lot's of different safari tours advertised on the 'net, but no prices.

Thanks

Hi,

if you will use the "search" function - you wll find a lot of informations.

The price of a safari depends mainly on the following points:

- kind of vehicle

- number of participants

- are flights included or not (e.g. Masai Mara Safaris - costs for a flying safari a more expensive, but you have more time for Game Drives instead of travelling on the road between the parks)

- kind of accomodation - from basic to absolutly luxury (with its price) you will find nearly everything

- insurances while on safari included or not

This is only to give you a short idea, why you will find so many offers, but no prices. Try to contact some tour operators and ask for different offers. Than you can compare and do some research.

Bye

If you book before you go you stand a better chance of getting the lodges/camps you want. I think some of them can get quite booked up at busy times.

We've booked our safari in July with Shadrack of Glorious safaris. Four days/three nights in Tsavo and Amboseli staying in luxury lodges/camps.

There are lots of safari operators recommended on this forum. Try e-mailing some of them for prices, there is no obligation if you decide not to use them. We e-mailed around 10 companies and got varying degrees of communication and prices, but liked Shadrack's prompt replies, his attention to detail and the fact that he answered all our questions fully.

I've sent you a pm with the prices/camps etc.

just one other thing ruthinlily if you book befor you go, book through a company out there because if you book trough your travel company you will have to vacate your room.
