Air Berlin to quit Mombasa route

Mombasa and Coast tourism will miss the services of Air Berlin, a charter flight operating from Germany to Moi International Airport, Mombasa.

This follows an announcement by the airline that it plans to shelve Mombasa from their summer 2013 programme.

I agree Jonesj.

Food is not cheap and the quality is not great. Supermarket prices are higher than in the UK. Hotels if booked independently are silly prices for what you get. Hassle on the beach. Anti-malarials needed. Terror attacks. Elections coming up. Bad press left right and centre.

Then just for good measure the flights operators seem to be pulling out all over the place.

Frustrating indeed for the local employees.
