Black Serval Cat ngutuni Sanctuary

During our visit to Ngutuni wildlife Sanctuary last month we lucky enough to come across a very rare sighting of a black female Serval Cat with a young cub. The cub had the normal serval markings and hadn't taken its mothers dark morph. We spotted the cats on the opposite side of the river to Voi Manyatta tented camp.So there is a possibility that they could venture into Tsavo East so keep your eyes peeled.

I have some photos which I will post on my Ngutuni lodge review

Fantastic sighting, Bruce, very unusual indeed, congratulations!

Lumo Sanctuary, near the Taita Hills GS, has also had black serval records.
