re getting yellow fever vaccination.

I am an Indian.

I am travelling to johannesburg from Dehli by Kenyan Airways via Nairobi on the 14th Jan 2014.

I will be in transit in NAIROBI AIRPORT for say abt 2 hours to catch my next connection to Johannesburg.

PLS ADVISE, do I need to get Yellow Fever Vaccination?

AS I AM CONFUSED.

And if I do need to get the vaccination, then can I get it from any registered in government hospital or any private registered doctor ?

Ofcourse the Yellow Fever Card will be filled and stamped by the respective doctors.

PLS LET ME KNOW. RGDS, ROOP BAJPAI, JAIPUR.

It is advisable to get the Yellow Fever inoculation, and carry the certificate with you. As you have suggested, visit your GP, or nearest hospital.

SA's policy on YF states you must have YF jab (and cert) even if just transiting a YF country.

If you fly non-stop from India to Johannesburg or if you connect/stop in a country at risk for yellow fever and transit the airport for less than 12 hours you do not need a yellow fever jab. If you entered an risk country along the way (for example, Zambia, Tanzania, Kenya) then you would need to have the shot to enter South Africa.
